iSpeak Series: The Ultimate Audio + Visual Foreign Language Phrasebook for Your Portable Media Player

NEW YORK, March 28 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill is pleased to welcome
language learning into the age of digital mobile culture.
The iSpeak Series (offered in Spanish, French, German, and Italian)
turns any of the nearly 40 million iPod and MP3 players on the market into
foreign language translation tools for on-the-spot reference. The iPod's
intuitive, effective navigational interface allows you to quickly find
those words and phrases most useful to you in a given context.
Downloading iSpeak CDs into your iPod will give you access to nearly
1,500 audio tracks, organized into various categories that allow you to
communicate in all typical travel situations, such as finding
accommodations, eating out, or expressing your perceptions and opinions.
You'll be able to both see and hear hundreds of key words and phrases,
which you can use as excellent study tools to prep for an upcoming trip or
as worthwhile language reference while you're on the go.
Once your iSpeak audio files have been loaded onto your iPod or other
MP3 player, you can locate them in the same way you locate music files or
other audiobooks, by browsing Artists or Genres. The program is designed so
that an English phrase is followed by the appropriate translation.
If you need a phrase or word, the answers are literally at your
fingertips instantly for easy reference. If you need to find an ATM machine
in Mexico City, scroll to the Bank album in Service & Shopping where you'll
find the phrase, "Where is there an ATM near here?"
Going to the Louvre? Review the Museums & Galleries album in
Entertainment, as well as perhaps words and phrases in the Train & Metro
 album.
iSpeak contents cover all aspects of travel and life, from
"Conversation" (which includes subcategories including "Introductions,"
"Feelings," and "Weather"), to "Entertainment," "Food," and "Reference."
Included in the program is a 64-page paperback booklet that provides
you with a written run-down of categories and sub-categories, and
translations for all phrases and key words.
     iSpeak features:
-- The only language reference to fully exploit the audio, visual, and
        navigational features of the iPod
-- Compatibility with every iPod with a screen on the market
-- Author Alex Chapin is a celebrated innovator of digital
        language-learning systems
Upcoming programs to be released this summer will include Chinese,
