NEW LONDON, Conn., July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- ITema, Inc. today released
KiweeCommerce, a full-featured e-commerce module for the MODx content
management system (CMS), to the Open Source community under the GNU General
Public License (GPL).
KiweeCommerce includes extensive product configuration and options
management tools, tax and discount rate tables, and support for PayPal,
Google Checkout, and Authorize.Net payment gateways. The module is tightly
integrated into MODx, and allows business owners to easily maintain their
own product catalogs. Administrators may configure and manage KiweeCommerce
through intuitive menus in the MODx CMS Manager.
KiweeCommerce was developed with external application integration in
mind. Transactions are posted to audit tables which external applications
can poll to enable integration, such as automatic sales order posting to an
accounting or customer relationship management (CRM) system. Integration is
not required for KiweeCommerce to function, but this support makes it much
easier for developers to add such functionality when desired.
KiweeCommerce is available for immediate download by Open Source
developers from http://www.kiweecommerce.org/. A self-installer is included
which makes it easy to add KiweeCommerce to an existing Web site. A
commercial license that provides full support is also available.
ITema was founded in February 2007 to address the technology gap
currently faced by small business. Having developed the Blackbird ESB,
KiweeCommerce module, and other important tools for application
integration, the company is planning a September 2007 release of a
commercial, "on-demand" software service for small business that allows
popular applications to exist together as one complete, integrated
