LOS ANGELES, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Interactive Video Technologies, IVT,
the premier supplier of scalable software for webcasting, is pleased to
announce our latest module for Digital Signage: MediaPlatform Television, or
MPTV. MPTV is an optional module of MediaPlatform that gives clients the
ability to create and manage "channels" of scheduled content for display on
HDTVs or computer screens. These channels can be viewed on plasma screens at
full screen and high resolution. Scheduled content can include playlists of
content with set durations or at set times. Additionally MPTV includes the
ability to preempt a channel with "urgent" content, messages or live video.
Organizations wishing to deploy digital signage applications at corporate,
retail, manufacturing or branch sites may want to tap into the expertise
provided by a webcasting company with a uniquely long heritage, Interactive
Video Technologies. With many years of experience and a feature rich, easy to
use product, clients can rely on a system that is fully supported by a
well-known organization. MPTV can be centrally managed and supported with
 screens at any location worldwide.
With MPTV for Digital Signage, users can have plasma screens connected to
a networked PC. Content is produced in an external fashion and delivered to
the network. The offering will then schedule and distribute the reformatted
content to the plasma screens. This is done via a Play List, which can be
remotely changed at will. The plasma screens can be managed from a central
site and different groups of screens can be tuned into different channels.
MPTV provides a solution that is easy, powerful and provides flexible control
over the content being displayed. Content can be from varied sources, such as
television content, slides, rich media presentations, and live or on-demand
webcast content. Content can include Flash Presentations, MediaPlatform
Webcasts, video presentations, live television and web sites. Clients can
configure scrolling information like stock tickers and weather forecasts.
MPTV is easily managed by logging in securely with any browser, creating a
new channel or editing an existing one. The new channel URL is automatically
generated for viewers to watch the channel. The channel is managed by naming
and describing it, content is set up and added to the channel's schedule.
Unless it is modified or interrupted by the administrator, the variable
 content runs indefinitely.
Organizations with an interest in MPTV can contact IVT direct, or one of
our business partners including Akamai, Cisco Systems, GFI Informatics,
 Time2Market and IBM.
