 sites out of the 100 largest motor carriers in North America*, the Jevic
 web designers decided to improve on an already impressive site by launching
 a newly designed jevic.com, the company has announced.
     Responding to customers' input, Jevic has completely redesigned its
 site to make it more visually appealing, improve the ease of use, and
 expand its functionality. The web site -- http://www.jevic.com -- went live
 the morning of July 24 after several months of testing by customers and
 account managers.
     "We responded to our customers requests," says Peter Robinson, a
 spokesperson for the company. "What better way to improve and redesign an
 award winning site than by having the users tell you what to do?"
     The new, secure site is easy on the eyes with expanded white space, and
 the most frequently used tracing function is readily available. There are
 also "Quick Links" to other popular functions such as Real Real-time
 Tracing, transit times, Pro Label request, pickup request, proactive
 tracking and forms. There is also proprietary back-office functionality
 that was designed in-house and is not available elsewhere in the industry.
     For example, the site intuitively designs a customized homepage for
 users based on most frequently or most recently used tools.
     "Unlike other motor-carrier sites, jevic.com is totally intuitive when
 it comes to customizing the home page for our clients," Robinson explains.
 "There's no 'cutting and pasting' or 'clicking and dragging' -- it's just
 'there' based on individual usage patterns."
     Once logged in, customers can use the Jevic web site to customize
 reports to their specific needs, and can arrange to view these reports
 online or receive them automatically via email. Getting rate quotes is now
 faster and easier, as is the document retrieval.
     "Our web site has long served as a useful tool for Jevic customers and
 now it has been enhanced to make it even easier to use with increased
 functionality," says Dave Gorman, Jevic president and CEO. "More customers
 want to personally manage their shipments, and our upgraded web site
 expands their capability to do so in real time," Gorman emphasizes.
     Another useful function is the accounts payable and freight invoicing
 section. On this page Jevic customers can determine payments due for past
 shipments and perform a customized analysis of their business trends and
 business data.
     Jevic also provides a tool that enables tracing of inbound or outbound
 shipments without knowing the PRO number. Customized searches for tracing
 shipments by specific day or shipment criteria are also available.
     On the site, customers can create one Bill of Lading (BOL) or they can
 create multiple BOLs in advance. They can manage them at a later date as
 needed, reduce re-entry of repetitive information, and specify e-mail
 addresses for shippers, consignees, and bill-to parties to allow automatic
 notification when a pick-up is made.
     "Our customers can manage the entire supply chain function right from
 their desktop", Gorman emphasizes. "From BOL to the AP function and
 everything in between -- This site is really a very powerful tool to
 provide complete visibility of the entire shipment process.
