PHILADELPHIA, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- As the only Democratic state
endorsed candidate, The Honorable Judge John Milton Younge has entered the
race for Pennsylvania Superior Court. Judge Younge, a native Philadelphian
was elected to a ten year term on the Court of Common Pleas in 1995 and was
re-elected in 2005.
Judge Younge's other endorsements include the Philadelphia Council AFL-
CIO, Lancaster County Democratic Committee, Chester County Democratic
Committee, Bucks County Democratic Committee, Westmoreland Democratic
Committee and the Dauphin County Democratic Committee.
Presiding over a wide variety of cases, both civil and criminal, Judge
Younge has demonstrated his ability to deal effectively and fairly with
lawyers and litigants by showing a real commitment to both the process and
substance of justice.

Prior to serving as a judge, Younge served as deputy executive director
and general counsel for the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority and prior
to that position he had a community based private law practice.
Judge Younge, educated in the Philadelphia Public School system is a
graduate of Central High School. He earned a degree in Business
Administration from Boston University and he received his Juris Doctor
Degree from the Howard University School of Law.
Active in the community, Judge Younge supports many charitable
organizations and the judge is a member of numerous non-profit
organizations. Judge Younge is a Deacon at Sharon Baptist Church, he serves
as Chairman for the West Philadelphia Community Mental Health Consortium,
President of Cobbs Creek Environmental Education Center and he is the past
president of the PA Conference of State Trial Judges.
