"NCQA's Health Insurance Plan Rankings 2011-2012" Lists Kaiser Permanente as Top-Rated Private Health Plan in Ohio, No. 4 in the State and No. 1 for Medicare

CLEVELAND, Sept. 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaiser Permanente is rated as one of the top five private health insurance plans in Ohio and one of the top 100 ranked private health plans in the nation for quality and member satisfaction, according to new rankings by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

In addition, "NCQA's Health Insurance Plan Rankings 2011-2012" lists Kaiser Permanente Ohio as the No. 1 Medicare plan in the state and No. 19 in the United States. This is the first year Kaiser Permanente has been among the top 20 Medicare plans in the nation.

The "NCQA's Health Insurance Plan Rankings 2011-2012" lists appear online at www.NCQA.org.

The rankings are based on quality data collected, analyzed and converted to scores by the NCQA. The three reporting categories are consumer satisfaction, prevention and treatment.
