Kansas Car Umbrella Encouraged By New Safety Report

TOPEKA, Kan., Oct. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Briggs Auto, a Kansas car dealership(s), is encouraged by the progress that booster seat safety has taken as the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety(IIHS) continues to crackdown. Booster seat manufacturers are also responding, as the IIHS just recently reported that booster seat designs are improving.

This is apparent as only two, of the seventeen, booster seats released this year weren't named to the list of preferred booster seats, which currently sits near 50.

Anne McCartt , IIHS' Senior VP of Research, discussed the increase in booster seat safety, stating that, "Booster manufacturers have risen to the Institute's challenge to improve seat design, giving parents more choices than ever when shopping for a booster that will provide a good, safe fit for their children."

The IIHS is asking for booster seat manufacturers to step-up there game due to the fact that the IIHS does not conduct crash testing on booster seats, at least not yet. This is nothing to take lightly about this matter, as motor vehicle injuries are the leading cause of death among children within the United States.
