PITTSBURGH, Aug. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2012 IABC Heritage Region Conference, Oct. 14-16, 2012, will feature five keynote speakers whose expertise and perspectives address current communications issues across the business spectrum.
The conference kicks off with an opening reception at the world-famous Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pa., during which Nicholas Chambers, the museum's curator, will give some words of wisdom about marketing the artist and the museum.
Alison Davis, CEO of Davis & Co., who kicks off Monday morning's session, will energize the gathering with her guide on "How to Become a Rock Star Communicator."
Luncheon speaker James Cerruti will explain the benefits of linking sustainability with corporate reputation, and the perils of ignoring the effect of one on the other. Cerruti is the senior partner for strategy and research at Brandlogic Corp.
Tuesday morning's keynoter is D. Mark Schumann, ABC, president of the Schumann Group and former IABC Chairman. Schumann will provide some insight into how business communicators can reinvent themselves to be relevant in today's business world. Following this session, the participants will split into breakout sessions for employee communication, social media, corporate communications/public relations and branding and marketing. When the group reassembles, Schumann will lead expert facilitators Tony DeFazio, of DeFazio Communications, Barbara Fagan-Smith, ABC, of ROI Communication, Paul Furiga, ABC, of WordWrite Communications, and Robin McCasland, ABC, of the IABC Executive Committee, in a panel discussion of the lessons learned and ideas shared during the breakout sessions.
