SAN DIEGO, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Kieran Label Corp. announced that it has won a Print Excellence and Knowledge (PEAK) Grand Award in the print industry's preeminent national competition sponsored by Print Solutions Magazine. Print Solutions Magazine is published by the Print Services & Distribution Association (PSDA) in Alexandria, VA.

Kieran Label was the Grand Award winner in the Money Maker category. This category recognizes companies that develop solutions of remarkable innovation which generate substantial value for distributors and their clients.

The award recognized Kieran Label's ingenuity in helping Samsung replace expensive outsourced foreign lithographic labels with lower cost domestically sourced flexographic labels for its line of premium flat panel televisions. Like other consumer electronics manufacturers, Samsung had previously outsourced these labels to Asian commercial printers, at a stratospheric cost.

Kieran Label's high-end domestic custom label solution was developed for distributor Kyung In Printing which in turn was able to save Samsung fifty percent of the cost premium associated with the foreign offset labels. This breakthrough showcases the ongoing vitality of domestically sourced packaging.

The award will be presented to Kieran Label at PSDA's National Print Solutions Conference & Expo, October 13 in Chicago, Illinois.
