King Street Patriots Hosts Televised Live Debate Between GOP U.S. Senate Primary Candidates on Monday, July 23, 2012 in Houston, TX

HOUSTON, July 20, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- King Street Patriots will host the final live televised debate on Monday, July 23, 2012 between the two GOP Senate primary candidates, former Solicitor General Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz and current Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst. The debate will be co-hosted by KRIV FOX 26, and carried live by FOX sister stations KDFW FOX4 in Dallas and KTBC FOX 7 in Austin. The debate will begin at 6 p.m. local.

The panel will include Catherine Engelbrecht and KRIV FOX 26 Anchor Melinda Spaulding and Anchor/Reporter Sally MacDonald.

Mr. Dewhurst has served as Lieutenant Governor and President of the Texas Senate since 2003. In 1998, Dewhurst became the first Republican since Reconstruction to be elected Texas Land Commissioner. During the Cold War, Dewhurst served in the U.S. Air Force, then in the CIA and later in the State Department. Dewhurst owns a successful business in Houston.

Mr. Cruz, the former solicitor general of Texas, has fought repeatedly for conservative principles, including defending U.S. sovereignty, the Second Amendment, and religious liberty. He has been endorsed by Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity, Tea Party Express, Rand Paul and many others.
