NEW YORK, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Corn Field in Times Square -- Korn
announced today that they will be joining the effort to tour green by
fueling all their vehicles with bio-diesel. This effort will lessen their
environmental impact on this year's Family Values Tour by using
domestically produced bio-fuels in all 16 of their touring vehicles. The
band is working with Music Matters' SMART (Sustainable Minded Artists
Recording Touring) program and Conserv Fuel to fuel their vehicles with
domestically produced bio-fuel which can be derived from a variety of plant
based matter including; soy, corn, and various other vegetable and animal
oils. Korn is using bio- diesel for their biofuel needs which will reduce
the CO2 emissions that tour produces by almost 50 tons. "We can't save the
planet overnight but this is our way of saying everyone has to start
somewhere. As a touring band it's our responsibility to start making a
difference. We encourage all other bands touring this summer to do the
 same," said Jonathan Davis.
In an effort to get the word out about alternative fuels, Korn will be
launching their own brand of bio-fuel. The soon to be officially revealed
recipe will be called Korntastic and more information will be available at
