Lacuna Systems Releases Indico® 1.6 New Version Unifies Ease of Use, Scalability, and Redundancy and Delivers Open Interface to Application Data
KIRKLAND, Wash., May 7, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Lacuna Systems today announced the latest release of Indico®, an application performance management (APM) solution designed to maximize uptime of critical web applications for ecommerce and other Internet based businesses. Indico harnesses the power of predictive analytics and utilizes load balancers that already exist in the enterprise, thus there is no additional hardware to deploy such as network TAPs or SPANs. With new features that couple scalability and redundancy with ease of use to ensure uptime of enterprise and web applications, Indico is more powerful than ever before.
"Indico 1.6 is a significant release for us" said Brett Tinling, Product Director for Lacuna Systems. "It has a lot of new features and upgrades, but the big focus is scalability. Indico nodes can now be federated into a cluster. Compute load can be spread across the cluster while maintaining one view of the data. This also enables fault tolerance. Standby nodes will take over for failed nodes, and the data is replicated around the cluster so that nothing is lost when a node fails."
Indico® 1.6 features include Indico Cluster that brings data redundancy, high availability, and distributed computing to Indico allowing even the most massive of organizations benefit from a single unified early warning system for application performance; Indico Rest API exposes all data and analytics from Indico enabling integration to existing tools and dashboards and empowering engineers to freely use all data within Indico; Application Grouping allows teams to relate objects within Indico to a particular application or group of applications. Other updates include a five-fold increase in performance and user interface improvements such as an SSL certificate browser and custom dashboards.
New load balancer support includes A10 AX Series Version 2.4 – 2.6, F5 LTM Version 9.4 – 11.3 and Citrix NetScaler Version 9.2 – 9.3; promoting a vendor agnostic approach to load balancers within the enterprise and providing a unified view when migrating services from one load balancer vendor to another.
In addition to new features, Lacuna Systems announced Indico Cloud that runs on Amazon Web Services using a BYOL (Bring Your Own License) model. Indico Cloud licenses are available from any Lacuna Systems partner. To find a partner please contact email@example.com.
"Lacuna Systems has highlighted the importance of the load balancer for today's dynamic applications; Indico's ease of use, integration, and ability to provide deep insight into critical applications perfectly complements A10's solutions," said Raj Jalan, Chief Technology Officer for A10 Networks. "Our collaborative partnership has greatly benefited customers and has provided immediate value."
Indico 1.6 is available as a purpose-built hardware appliance or VMWare virtual appliance. Updates are available free for customers who have a current support contract.
Indico Cloud is available in the Amazon AWS Marketplace as an AMI image.
