Larry Bohn Joins General Catalyst Partners as Venture Partner

Former CEO of NetGenesis Further Strengthens Firm's

Investment Team and 'Hands On' Approach to Investing

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- General Catalyst Partners, an
 early-stage private equity firm investing in exceptional entrepreneurs
 building technology-focused companies, today announced that Larry Bohn has
 joined as a venture partner.  Most recently president and chief executive
 officer of NetGenesis, Bohn will focus on identifying new investment
 opportunities within the enterprise software and information technology
 sectors.  Bohn joins managing directors Joel Cutler, David Fialkow, William
 Fitzgerald, David Orfao and John Simon.
     Prior to joining General Catalyst, Bohn was the chairman, president and
 CEO of NetGenesis, a market leading software and analytic solutions provider.
 Bohn led NetGenesis from 1997 to 2001, overseeing the company's business,
 product strategy and direction.  During this time, NetGenesis was a two-time
 Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 award winner and was included among the Inc 500.  In
 February 1999, Bohn took the company public (NTGX) and in December 2001,
 NetGenesis was acquired by SPSS, Inc. (SPSS).

     Bohn will leverage his marketing background and executive talents to

     Prior to his role as CEO and president of NetGenesis, Bohn was president
 of PC DOCS, Inc., a leading developer of document management software for
 enterprise networks. Under his leadership, PC DOCS' product advanced to the
 number one market position.  He also led the company's highly successful
 public offering.  Prior to joining PC DOCS, Bohn was senior vice president of
 marketing and business development at Interleaf, Inc., where he defined and
 implemented the corporate strategy that put its electronic publishing
 solutions in a top market position and helped grow the business to more than
 $120 million in revenue.  An acknowledged thought leader, he has spoken at
 leading industry events such as Comdex and Seybold, and has been a guest
 lecturer at Harvard, Stanford, and the Amos Tuck School of Business at
 Dartmouth.  Bohn has been a board member and advisor to a number of private
 technology companies, including Enigma Inc., Metreo, and Bidder's Edge.  He is
 also a founder and the first president of OASIS, the industry consortium
 promoting XML adoption.  Bohn is an honors graduate of the University of
 Massachusetts, Amherst, and holds a masters of arts degree in Structural
 Linguistics from Clark University.
