Last Call! To All Youth Soccer Teams - Diski Dance Your Way to South Africa!

South Africa is looking for a local youth soccer team to bring to South Africa and play a match in the home of the 2010 FIFA World Cup(TM)

NEW YORK, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- South African Tourism has extended the deadline for entries to its popular Diski Dance Web video contest by one week, to Sunday, December 20, 2009, to accommodate the enthusiastic response to the chance to win a once in a lifetime trip to South Africa for an entire youth soccer team.

In partnership with U.S. Youth Soccer (the largest youth sports organization in the United States), South African Airways and World Cup sponsor Coca-Cola, South African Tourism is inviting parents and coaches to show their kid athletes a new way to get in on the spirit of the game. The 2010 FIFA World Cup(TM) is coming in June; South Africa is hosting; and South Africa wants to spread the welcoming spirit of the games by getting young soccer fans dancing the Diski.

The fabulous grand prize of the Web video contest is a trip to South Africa for the entire team -- parents and coach included -- for 8 days/7 nights. The trip includes visits to Johannesburg and Cape Town, a game park and a match against a South African youth soccer team, possibly in one of the World Cup stadiums.

The Diski dance is a new dance based on soccer moves that has been specially created by South Africa for the 2010 World Cup to express the country's unique way of playing soccer. It's rhythmic, showy, energetic, and above all, great fun.

So get dancing! Learn the Diski dance moves, feel the rhythm of South Africa, and upload your video at www.southafrica.net/dance. The contest, which began in September, closes on Sunday, December 20, 2009.

Teams may have a minimum of 10 members and a maximum of 15 members, ages 8 through 14, and must be affiliated with organized leagues or organizations such as American Youth Soccer Organization, U.S. Youth Soccer National League, Metro Youth Soccer League and similar organizations.

The winning youth soccer team will be announced in mid-January 2010.
