The Business Series, unique to LATINA Style Magazine, is a well known development program empowering Latina entrepreneurs across the country. According to the Small Business Administration, the total population of Hispanic origin in New Jersey is 1,379,000, representing almost 16% of the state population. Chosen among her peers, this years' entrepreneur award winner, Mrs. Esther Novak, is the founder and CEO of VanguardComm. Peruvian born and bilingual, Novak graduated from Barnard College. She pursued graduate studies in Spanish literature at Columbia University and holds professional certificates in management and marketing from Columbia, Harvard and Duke. Novak currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies (AHAA) and on New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine's Council for Economic Growth.
