Lawrence G. Ryan Joins Cole Taylor Bank as Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking

    ROSEMONT, Ill., March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Bruce W. Taylor, Chairman and
 Chief Executive Officer of Taylor Capital Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:   TAYC), and
 Mark A. Hoppe, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cole Taylor Bank,
 today announced that Lawrence G. Ryan has joined Cole Taylor Bank, a wholly
 owned subsidiary of Taylor Capital Group, Inc. as Executive Vice President
 of Commercial Banking.

     Ryan is a 27-year veteran of LaSalle Bank N.A., where he focused on
 developing the market for financing the needs of closely held businesses.
 He played a leadership role in building the Metropolitan Banking Group of
 LaSalle Bank N.A., a business banking unit that served companies with sales
 between $10 million and $50 million, where he was Group Senior Vice
 President. Since early 2008, Ryan served as business banking Market
 Executive in Chicago for Bank of America.
     Ryan, 49, graduated in 1981 from the University of Illinois with a B.S.
 in Finance and graduated in 1986 from the University of Chicago's Graduate
 School of Business with an MBA in Finance. He serves on the Executive
 Committee of the Western Golf Association/Evans Scholarship Foundation,
 which provides college scholarships based on academic performance,
 character, caddy record and financial need. Ryan and his wife, Jan, are
 residents of Glenview.
