Lawrence, Kansas Chrysler Dealer Happy To See Praise for Flagship Vehicle The Chrysler 300 was recently named one of the top vehicles in the large sedan vehicle segment according to Consumer Reports
LAWRENCE, Kan., Aug. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Briggs Chrysler, a Lawrence Chrysler dealership, couldn't be happier to find out that one of their best-selling vehicles was recently praised by Consumer Reports in the large sedan vehicle segment. The Chrysler 300 was close to the top near the Hyundai Genesis and beat out the rest of its segment.
The Chrysler 300 showed a dramatic increase on this year's Consumer Reports rating thanks in part to a new transmission that provides consumers with an additional four miles per-gallon on the highway and also increases fuel-efficiency numbers by two miles per-gallon combined.
Specifically, the Chrysler 300 received a rating of 83 from Consumer Reports, with the V8 powered 300C trim level receiving a close rating of 82.
David Champion, Consumer Reports' Director of the Automotive Test Center, talked why the Chrysler 300 made such a jump, stating that, "The 2011 redesign of the 300 put Chrysler's flagship back on the map in the large sedan category. Though the muscular V8-powered 300C delivers more oomph, most buyers will probably be quite happy with the V6 engine, which contributes to its refined character and helps it score near the top of its category."
