Lawrence, Kansas Nissan Dealer Pleased With August Sales Figures

LAWRENCE, Kansas, Sept. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Briggs Nissan Lawrence, a Nissan dealership in Lawrence, has been quite busy throughout the month of August and it shows in Nissan North America's monthly sales. The Nissan division, of Nissan North America, sold more than 87,000 units across the nation which shows for a 6 percent increase versus last August.

Nissan North America was powered by the brand-new Nissan Altima as it sold nearly 26,000 units for the month of August alone, showing a 13 percent sales increase. The new Nissan Altima is off to a fast start as July was the first month the 2013 Nissan Altima was offered to consumers across the globe.

Another vehicle that did well in the month of August was the Nissan Rogue. The Rogue set a sales record for the month of August by selling more than 12,500 vehicles, a 10 percent increase versus last year. The Nissan Frontier and Pathfinder also enjoyed similar success as they showed year-over-year sales increases of 13 and 18 percent, respectively.
