The aforementioned number represents a 12 percent increase versus last year's sales figures when compared to September of 2011. This September also marked the best month of September sales dating all the way back to 2007.

Each specific brand underneath the Chrysler Group umbrella (Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Ram Truck) also posted year-over-year sales gains versus September 2011.
