LeapFrog Announces the Departure of Founder Mike Wood

    EMERYVILLE, Calif., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LeapFrog
 Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:   LF), a leading developer of innovative technology-
 based educational products, today announced the resignation of LeapFrog
 founder Michael C. Wood as Chief Vision and Creative Officer, and as Vice
 Chairman and member of the Board of Directors.
     Announcing Mr. Wood's resignation, LeapFrog Chief Executive Officer Tom
 Kalinske said, "Mike is an extremely creative and passionate individual who
 has been a driving force at LeapFrog, helping to take the company from a

     Mr. Wood's responsibilities will be assumed by various members of
 LeapFrog's executive team.
