Legends of Aviation Opening at Long Beach Airport to Improve Travelers' Dining Experience

 arrival of the aviation-themed restaurant, Legends of Aviation, with a
 ribbon-cutting ceremony at its location in the terminal yesterday evening.
 The full-service restaurant will be open to the public on Sunday, March 9.

-- Embodies the spirit of the 1940's streamline moderne design aesthetic which designated Long Beach Airport a Cultural Heritage Landmark in 1990; -- Incorporates historically significant elements to its interior walls and includes vintage photos of the airport's early days and aviation- related imagery; -- Includes warm cherry wood interiors, streamline-era brushed nickel pendant lights and sconces, and a multitude of dining opportunities including tables, banquettes and plush padded booths; -- Features a three-tiered restaurant design that includes a curving lower-level bar with panoramic views looking due west of the Long Beach airfield; -- Boasts two outdoor patios and eight flat-screen plasma televisions featuring sports, news and aviation-related programming; and -- Includes a designated "grab & go" area to meet the needs of busy travelers.
