Lend Lease's Multi-Site Business Named 7-Eleven, Inc. Construction Service Provider of New Construction Portfolio
NEW YORK, March 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lend Lease, through its business formerly known as Bovis Lend Lease, today announced that 7-Eleven, Inc. has named the Multi-Site Group its construction service provider of their new construction portfolio across the United States and Canada. 7-Eleven plans to add at least 500 stores in the United States and Canada this year through traditional growth (individual store leases-purchases), business conversions and acquisitions.
The Multi-Site Group's three-year agreement with 7-Eleven calls for the company to immediately assume responsibility for service delivery for 7-Eleven's new-store construction, which is spread across the United States and Canada.
Robert A. McNamara , Chief Executive Officer of the Americas region of Lend Lease, said: "Being chosen by 7-Eleven to manage the delivery of its new construction is a testament to the quality of our construction service. It's an exciting opportunity for us to work for an industry-leading firm."
7-Eleven's outsourcing agreement with Lend Lease provides several benefits including an increased pipeline to achieve annual store-development targets, end-to-end process improvements, streamlined methods and geographic flexibility.
"We are committed to our joint goal of accelerating growth while driving efficiency and innovation," McNamara said. "In addition, we expect to achieve financial savings for 7-Eleven through our best practices and scale."
7-Eleven, Inc. is the largest convenience retailer in the world with more than 40,000 locations. Based in Dallas, Texas, 7-Eleven operates, franchises or licenses more than 8,000 7-Eleven® stores in North America.
