Liberty Livewire Names Barry Stagg Vice President, Marketing Communications
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Barry Stagg has
been named Vice President, Marketing Communications, Liberty Livewire
Corporation, it was announced today by Aidan Foley, Chief Marketing Officer.
In his new role, Stagg, who will report directly to Foley, will have
oversight for all Liberty Livewire internal and external communications,
working with the executive management team to devise and implement global
strategic communications on a corporate and business unit level.
"Barry's years of experience in the public relations field have helped him
build strong relationships with the community and the media," said Foley.
"His knowledge of both entertainment and technology made him a natural choice
to lead Liberty Livewire's communications efforts, and we are confident that

An entertainment industry veteran, Stagg brings two decades of experience
to Liberty Livewire. For the past two years, he served as General Manager and
Senior Vice President at Smith Public Relations, responsible for the agency's
day-to-day operations and providing strategic counsel to clients in the
consumer products, technology entertainment and business-to-business sectors.
Just prior, Stagg headed corporate communications at Homestore.com , where he
designed and implemented the public relations plan for the #1 visited Internet
destination for home and real estate-related content.
His entertainment experience includes over five years as Senior Vice
President, Corporate Communications at Fox Family Worldwide, where he was
responsible for all communications for the multi-faceted global family
entertainment corporation and its four primary operations: Fox Family Channel,
Fox Kids Network, Saban Entertainment, and Fox Kids Networks International.
As Senior Vice President, Publicity, Promotion & Advertising at Lorimar
Television/Warner Bros. Domestic Television, Stagg supervised corporate and
programming publicity, as well as promotion and advertising and was
responsible for all publicity for the company's syndication arm, Warner Bros.
Domestic Television Distribution. He began his career in entertainment
publicity at Norman Lear's Tandem/T.A.T./Embassy Television, rising to the
position of Vice President, Publicity, Promotion & Advertising. Prior to
that, Stagg was a news writer and reporter at WINS Radio, Associated Press and
the New York Daily News.
Stagg serves on the Board of Directors of the Entertainment Professional
Publicists Society and also on the Board of Advisors for Mediascope.
