Light Up(R) Creates a Brighter Outlook

AMSTERDAM, May 4 /PRNewswire/ --

- Dutch Manufacturer Produces the First Ever Luminous Flags

The Dutch flag-maker Faber Flags has succeeded in producing flags that shine in the dark. Using a newly-developed, patented print process, coloured images printed on flags come to life in dimly-lit surroundings, giving them an entirely new dimension. The process can also be used for street-banners, pennants, display materials and sun-shades. The eye-catching new process is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

By adding fluorescent pigments to the inks used for printing, coloured images printed on the flags light up brightly in the dark or under ultraviolet lighting. The process is particularly effective for warm colours. Faber Flags owns exclusive rights to Light Up(R), which is suitable for full-colour image reproduction on textile. The process uses a blacklight source of illumination, which limits light pollution to the minimum.

Differentiating potential

"What advertiser wouldn't like to be able to hold the consumer's attention to their adverting message for just a bit longer?" says Martin Koppelaar, CEO of Faber Flags. "This is an innovative way for companies and marketers to differentiate themselves and their products from the competition. I'm very proud of the fact that we own the world-wide rights for Light Up(R). It's yet another way for Faber Flags to shine. We're literally bringing some light to the darkness that is everywhere at the moment."
