Lillians(TM) Designates Six Existing Locations as 'Destination' Shoppes Starting in October, these Locations will Now be Open the First Two Weekends (Thursday-Sunday) Every Month
PLYMOUTH, Minn., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Lillians, the Hippest Shoppe in Town(R), today announced that it has designated six of its existing locations as "destination shoppes," due to their unique locations where vacations, weekend get-aways and day-long shopping trips are the draw.
Starting in October, Lillians shoppes in Alexandria, Minn.; Boerne, Texas; Cambridge, Wis.; Excelsior, Minn.; Grand Rapids, Minn.; and on Grand Avenue in St. Paul, Minn., will be open the first two weekends (Thursday-Sunday) each month, instead of just one.
Throughout 2009, these Lillians will be open Oct. 1-4 and 8-11; Nov. 5-8 and 12-15; and Dec. 3-6 and 10-13. All other Lillians shoppes will maintain their current monthly sale schedule of being open either the first or second Thursday through Sunday each month. Information on all 31 locations and extra holiday shopping dates is available online at www.lilliansshoppe.com.
"We surveyed our guests to determine if they would like our shoppes to be open an additional weekend each month, and whether or not a two-weekend approach would hurt our occasional-sale concept," said Cindy Deuser, CEO of Lillians Shoppes LLC. "For the majority of our shoppes, one weekend a month is working perfectly. The ladies who shop these six locations, however, told us that they would love it if we were open more to meet the unique shopping needs of the areas."
Deuser went on to say that regardless of where a shoppe is located or when it is open, the brand's unique shopping experience will remain the same. New merchandise will be available each month that features hundreds of fun and affordable handbags, fashionable wallets, stylish sunglasses, trendy jewelry and other seasonal items.
Lillians Holding Inc., parent company for Lillians Shoppes, began franchising throughout the United States in early 2008 after a four-year run of continuous growth in Main Street settings across the Midwest. Since 2005, Founders and Sisters Cindy Deuser and Sue Olmscheid opened new storefronts in 31 communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Illinois and Colorado. Lillians reputation is being built by the company's ability to provide women with the hippest new fashion accessories in a decidedly "unmall-like" shopping experience at affordable prices.
