Limelight Rebrands with Help from Conversation
The former church undergoes historic transformation
NEW YORK, June 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Limelight, NYC's new three-story, ultra-trendy shopping store, announced the hire of ad shop Conversation to drive marketing efforts for their venue. "We are excited to be working with Conversation," noted Limelight owner Jack Menashe . "They understand what we're looking for and are skilled at finding cost-effective ways to help us connect with our target clientele," he added.
The former church, which became The Limelight nightclub in 1980 and Limelight Marketplace in 2010, will re-launch in September 2011 as Limelight, a three-story department store.
Menashe determined that the space was too small for the 40-vendor shopping center and decided to convert it into a single department store. Limelight will house brands such as Bed Stu, PRPS, Nudie Jeans and James Perse , as well as Grimaldi's and Todd English 's CrossBar. The renovations, including darker walls and dimmer lights, will complement the church's design and stained glass windows. A live DJ will allow for the incorporation of music throughout the department store. Renovation costs will total almost $4 million.

ChatLab, Conversation's social media division, will help Limelight spread the word over social media channels. We are making sure that everyone within social media hears what is new and happening at Limelight. Limelight's shops range from gourmet food, fashion, art, beauty, and home furnishing products, to top-notch restaurants, including Grimaldi's and Todd English 's CrossBar.
