CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Board of Directors of LivingWell Health Solutions has selected Michael Boroch as the new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LivingWell Health Solutions.

Prior to joining LivingWell Health Solutions, Boroch was the CEO of SmartRoom, an innovative health IT workflow enhancement company based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Boroch has more than 30 years of executive and entrepreneurial experience with a background in the health care industry working as a practitioner, operator, consultant, educator, and technology executive for some of the largest health care corporations in the world.  He served on the board of the Nashville Healthcare Council and is a board member of two early staged companies.  Previously he spent about half of his career in early staged ventures and entrepreneurial startups and management positions in three publicly traded companies; IBM, Johnson & Johnson, and LifeMark, a hospital management firm.  Earlier in his career, Boroch worked in numerous medical centers including Emory, Sarasota Memorial Hospital and University of Maryland Medical Center.

Boroch has an MBA from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland.  He also holds an undergraduate degree in Respiratory Sciences.

Mr. Boroch joined LivingWell Health Solutions on January 16, succeeding current CEO Thomas Revels, who will become Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.
