L.L. Bean Collaborates with Almighty for 100th Anniversary Website

 

BOSTON, Feb. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Almighty recently announced the launch of a website celebrating the 100th anniversary of outdoor apparel and gear retailer L.L.Bean - the culmination of several months of collaboration between the Boston-based agency and the Freeport, Maine brand. The site, designed and developed in collaboration with L.L.Bean's in-house creative and commerce teams, is part of a year-long celebration of the brand's relationship with its customers and the outdoors. It integrates content from L.L.Bean's rich archives with user-submitted content to tell the story of a brand as relevant to the next hundred years as it has been to the last hundred.

The site, designed and developed to accommodate constant updates throughout the year-long celebration by Almighty, L.L.Bean and partner agencies GSD&M and Weber Shandwick, includes L.L.Bean's first corporate blog, a rich timeline celebrating milestones from L.L.Bean's archives, the Get Out(fitted) Gear Giveaway program - also integrated by Almighty into the L.L.Bean Facebook page - and the brand's Million Moment Mission. The Million Moment Mission aggregates consumer engagement around the L.L.Bean brand - Twitter hashtags, Facebook 'likes', attendance at L.L.Bean events and more - ultimately resulting in a million-dollar donation by the brand to the National Park Foundation.
