"Paper Can" Initiative

As previously announced, LUSI has determined to utilize "paper cans" for the packaging of its Jammin' Jambalaya and Voodoo Roast coffee products.  LUSI has now determined to expand the use of paper cans to the packaging of all of its packaged dry products and coffee products.  The decision to utilize the more environmentally friendly paper cans was based on the reality that the use of paper cans will permit LUSI to reduce its per unit packaging cost by nearly 50%.  In addition, the paper cans provide extensive flexibility of use in retail displays.

Finally, the paper cans provide LUSI's label art work, which, in each case, captures the movement and energy that is South Louisiana, a "venue" for maximum effect.  LUSI's President, David Loflin, said, "the paper can packaging is unlike any other we've seen; the products will just jump off the shelves, as shoppers pass by."
