M-Business Magazine Launches With Prominent Editorial Team
CMP Media's Newest Publication Lures Seasoned Industry and Technology Staff
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- CMP Media Inc.'s new M-Business magazine, set to launch in October, today announced its core editorial launch team. The staff is led by editorial director Morwenna Marshall, who crafted the mission and focus of the magazine. Marshall, who is responsible for the overall content strategy and integrity of the magazine, as well as the complementary news-driven Web site mbizcentral.com, has two previous magazine launches under her belt. She has served as editor-in-chief of a number of strategic enterprise publications including SAP Technical Journal, DB2 Magazine, and Teradata Review. "CMP has made a major commitment to help define the new mobile market space with M-Business magazine," said Manny Sawit, executive director of CMP's Internet & Mobile Division, the group that produces M-Business. Marshall will work closely with executive editor Galen Gruman, formerly executive editor of Upside and MacWorld magazines. Gruman also served as the West coast bureau chief of Computer World. As executive editor, Gruman is responsible for managing the editorial focus from issue to issue, keeping M-Business on top of the key market issues and trends. M-Business' East Coast Bureau Chief, Margie Semilof, has covered the communications and networking industries since 1984 as a reporter and an editor. She helped launch Computerworld's first networking publication, relaunched as Network World. She also writes for, and edited Communications Week, TechWeb and most recently CRN [Computer Reseller News], another CMP publication. News Editor Susan Kuchinskas comes to M-Business from Business 2.0, where she was a senior writer covering the advertising and marketing beats.
