Maintaining Morale, Keeping Good Employees Are High on HR Challenges List
Survey shows HR resources are being squeezed with companies expecting more from the HR department
RIDGEFIELD, N.J., Oct. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HR professionals say maintaining employee morale and keeping good employees are key concerns during this current economic recession.
Finding excellent talent in a welter of resumes for any job posting is also becoming a growing problem.
In a survey by Information Strategies, Inc. of 1018 HR professionals, morale building, staffing and reducing benefit costs take up a majority of their day.
A majority, 51%, said they were working with reduced resources in terms of their own staff and in financial allocations than two years ago. Four in 10 report they expect allocations will be even less in 2012.
Company management is also demanding more from their HR departments than in previous years with 71% saying their position has become more difficult in 2011.
Two of three respondents said they had less time to find other solutions for their workload while they are currently playing key roles in overcoming the challenges posed to companies by today's economic recession.
Nine out of 10 respondents said they had looked outside the company for expertise but they had constrained resources to pursue many alternatives.
Based on this survey, 60 top experts provide actionable ideas, tested strategies and effective methods to help companies compete and grow in today's world in an easy-to-read ebook, Solutions for Today's HR Challenges.
It offers advice and guidance for HR professionals in such areas as:
- Business Leadership

- Integrating a Multi-generational Workforce
Also included are suggestions as to how to build a stronger organization out of today's struggles and prepare for future growth.
