Margaret A. DiVirgilio Elected President of Women In Defense, a National Security Organization
JOHNSTOWN, Pa., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Margaret A. DiVirgilio, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), was recently elected President of the Women In Defense (WID), a National Security Organization. As a nonprofit organization, WID, an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association, focuses its mission on cultivating and supporting the advancement and recognition of women in all aspects of national security. WID was established to provide women a formal environment for professional growth through networking, education, and career development.
Ms. DiVirgilio has served on the WID National Board of Directors in different capacities since becoming a member in 2002. She first served as Treasurer, and before her recent election as President, Ms. DiVirgilio served as Vice President. The National Board of Directors governs the entire Women In Defense organization, which has chapters throughout the United States. WID has approximately 1,940 members today, 25 years after its inception.

Ms. DiVirgilio was installed as President of WID at the Annual Meeting on September 29, 2009, by Mr. John Illgen, the National Defense Industrial Association Vice Chair. "I am honored to serve as the President of WID and in doing so, I am committed to continue focusing on mentoring, creating opportunities for women to network and build professional relationships, and draw attention to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Initiatives," Ms. DiVirgilio said. "My vision is to increase WID's utilization of the technology forums open to us. I want to deliver education for the benefit of the membership at large."
Ms. DiVirgilio has over 29 years of experience working for industry and government organizations. Her current responsibilities as the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for CTC include corporate wide policy development and overall implementation for Administration functions including such areas as Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Financial Systems, and Contracts & Procurement. Her specific focus areas relate to assessing and maintaining adequate capital, ensuring financial performance, oversight of Financial Statement Audit and required government filings, design of the Company's compensation and Benefits Program and Compliance with Federal Contract regulations. Ms. DiVirgilio is also a member of the Board of Directors of CTC. Ms. DiVirgilio received her B.A. degree in Business Administration from Seton Hill University and received her CPA Certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
