Washington state's largest family-owned wine producers, received 11 awards
-- including two prestigious Platinum awards -- in Wine Press Northwest
magazine's 2008 Platinum Judging competition. Established in 1999 to
recognize the "best of the best in the great Northwest," Wine Press
Northwest's Platinum Judging awarded only 54 Platinum awards out of the 329
wines submitted to the invitation-only competition.
Maryhill Winery's 2005 Cabernet Franc scored the highly-coveted Double
Platinum award, and Maryhill's 2005 Proprietor's Reserve Malbec received
Platinum recognition. Only three wineries received two Platinum awards each,
signifying a tremendous honor for Maryhill.

Maryhill Winery Double Gold award winners include the 2007 Rose' of
Sangiovese, 2005 Proprietor's Reserve Sangiovese, 2005 Proprietor's Reserve
Grenache, 2005 Syrah, 2005 Proprietor's Reserve Zinfandel, and 2006
Winemaker's Red, which was also recognized as a "Best Buy." Gold award
winners include Maryhill Winery's 2005 Merlot, 2007 Sauvignon Blanc, 2005
Sangiovese and 2007 Pinot Gris.
