COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Marzetti® is pleased to launch the packaging design contest portion of its uDip Sweepstakes, which encourages people of all ages to dip into their creativity and design the packaging for Marzetti® Old Fashioned Caramel Apple Dip Singles. One winner will have his or her winning design printed on the Fall 2010 Marzetti® Old Fashioned Caramel Apple Dip Singles packaging and win an iMac computer, among other prizes.

In addition to the design contest, uDipSweepstakes.com offers a daily Instant Win Sweepstakes, uDip On-line Bakery Game, a Recipe Contest and Photo and Video Contest. All activities generate entries for a grand prize drawing for a 20-inch iMac® computer with software and many accessories, an Apple iPod music device and iTunes gift cards.

Seventeen-year-old Jaime Ostrom of Chippewa Falls, Wis. won the packaging design contest in 2008. Her design is featured on Marzetti® Old Fashioned Caramel Apple Dip singles packaging currently in stores.

After seeing an ad for the contest in her mom's magazine, Ostrom dipped into her creativity to create her award-winning design. "I chose bright, eye-popping colors and imagined the caramel drips and apples I drew as if they were three-dimensional, having fun and brainstorming what I thought would really make the design exciting and my own," she said. "Entering the contest gave me a great opportunity to be thoughtful, creative and artistic. I think everyone should take the opportunity to enter the 2009 design contest. They can express themselves, gain personal insight - and they might even become this year's lucky winner."

The packaging design contest is open to all ages. Entrants can draw on existing Marzetti® Caramel Apple Dip singles packaging or on a template available online. Twelve finalists (three from each age category: 0-8, 8-14, 15-18, 18+) will receive $25 iTunes gift cards and coupons. One winner will have his or her winning design printed on Marzetti® Old Fashioned Caramel Apple Dip packaging and also receive a 20-inch iMac® computer and a Wacom® Bamboo Tablet. The winner's school of choice will receive 10 Wacom® Bamboo Tablets, a computer accessory that allows users to design sketches, handwrite notes and mark up digital documents, among other unique features.
