Match.com Launches MatchLive.com; A Subscription-Based Social Events Service for New York City Singles
DALLAS, July 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Online dating service Match.com today
announced the launch of MatchLive.com ( www.MatchLive.com ), a new
subscription-based service offering a wide variety of social events and
parties for single adults in New York City. Singles may register for a free
30-day membership during the site's launch period, after which the monthly
subscription fee of $24.95 will entitle subscribers to receive reduced event
ticket prices, advance notice of upcoming events and access to a comprehensive
online event calendar. For a limited time, subscribers can purchase a
companion guest ticket at the subscriber ticket price.
Upcoming MatchLive.com events in New York provide singles with a range of
fun, and often flirtatious, romantic and social opportunities, including
cocktail receptions, a sunset sail, a scavenger hunt, swing & tango lessons,
networking events, cooking classes, neighborhood tours and even bowling. All
MatchLive.com events are planned, managed and hosted by MatchLive.com staff
members.
"Match.com's unique and interactive singles events are incredibly popular
among our members, and we're launching MatchLive.com as a direct result of
member feedback and enthusiasm for these events," said Tim Sullivan, president
of Match.com. "We're confident that Match.com can be as relevant in the
singles event business as we are in online dating."
Match.com has offered more than 400 social gatherings, classes, parties
and events for singles since it began providing these services in August of
2000. To date, attendance at these events, offered in cities such as New
York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and London, has exceeded fifty
thousand. Plans are underway to offer MatchLive.com in more cities soon.
