MAYO Has Been Retained for Media Relations for the Southern California Gas

Company Energy Expo; a Fundraiser for the M. Gray Music Academy and the

'NowRuz' Extravaganza in Beverly Hills, CA



    LOS ANGELES, March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern California Gas Company, a
 Sempra Energy utility, has retained MAYO Communications for a media
 campaign, "Claim Your Share of $10 Million in Rebates and Incentives. Come
 to The Energy Efficiency Expo," to be held April 17th, at the Energy
 Resource Center in Downey, CA. Several major companies and individuals will
 be honored with energy efficiency awards. The Expos will also outline how
 to apply for The Gas Company's record $10 million in energy efficiency
 regases and incentives reserved for businesses this year. The breakout
 sessions will focus on how recent economic and political changes could
 impact business and how energy efficiency can help business cut costs.
     MAYO Communications is also doing publicity for the M. Gray Music
 Academy, North Hollywood, CA, founded by Macy Gray,
 (www.mgraymusicacademy.com) for a fundraiser on May 19th at Element
 Nightclub in Hollywood, CA (http://www.elementhollywood.com/). The event in
 being produced by Ben Oakes of "Rockin' in LA" which will also be the title
 of the event. It will feature artists playing live in conjunction with a
 fashion show. A silent auction will also be held to benefit the Academy.
 The event is to raise funds for the Academy which is a non-profit 503 c 3
 organization.
     M. Gray Music Academy board of directors includes: Justin Timberlake,

     And MAYO Communications will be doing publicity for The Iranian
 American Parents Association NowRuz Extravaganza, Sunday March 11, 2007 - 4
 pm to 11 pm, The Beverly Hilton, International Ballroom, 9876 Wilshire
 Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90210. NowRuz (pronounced "new-rooz"), means "new
 day," and it is the first day of Spring (March 20th ) and the beginning of
 the Persian Calendar. It is recognized as part of the Persian New Year
 celebration. The Iranian American Parents Association (IAPA) was formed in
 1994 and has rapidly grown to encompass parents from all five Beverly Hills
 schools. A board of directors, consisting of active parents, has been
 formed to forward the organization's objectives. IAPA presents great
 celebrations for NowRuz every other year.
     Highlights of the NowRuz extravaganza include the presentation of three
 Humanitarian Plaques to distinguished honorees, including: Steve Cooley,
 Los Angeles County district attorney, Michaela Pereira, KTLA Morning News
 anchorwoman and Homa Sarshar, journalist. The event will also offer music
 and dancing, traditional Persian cuisine and cultural displays.
 Entertainment will be provided by Black Cats, Sadegh Nojouki & Friends
 (International Band), Simin Couture Fashion Show, Djanbazian Dance Company
 and more at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
     In organizing the IAPA NowRuz celebration two goals were set:
 
     *  To bring about greater harmony and understanding between the diverse
        cultures and people that live in that community.
 
     *  To raise money for the Beverly Hills schools in order to better cope
        with the overwhelming challenges they face in supporting and servicing
        a multicultural society with diverse backgrounds. All the proceeds from
        this event will be donated to the following organizations:
 
     *  The LA County Foster Home Program
     *  The Beverly Hills Unified School District
     *  The Maple Counseling Center
