PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Davis Elen Advertising & Public
Relations has teamed up with Gamut Industries(TM) to provide McDonald's young
adults in Oregon and SW Washington a new way of connecting by logging onto for a variety of free instant electronic offers, such as cell
phone wallpapers and ringtones, and capabilities for mobile coupons.
"This dynamic partnership provides local McDonald's in Oregon and SW
Washington with a unique opportunity to reach out to its youth and offer them
futuristic mobile options which can meet their needs," said Kim Bayer,
McDonald's Northwest Regional Manager. "As a leader in the food industry,
McDonald's continues to pave the way for young adults by offering them a
variety of choices through mobile communications, which is so much a part of
 their world," added Bayer.
The Web site will be a focal point for the McDonald's
Northwest markets starting on January 25th and will feature several "give-away
offers" during the limited-time test period. Included in the offers will be
free cell phone ringtones and wallpaper, which feature a wide range of
chart-topping artists such as Usher, Ja Rule, Outkast, and Maroon5, as well as
classics like The Who and AC/DC. The give-aways will also offer favorite
sports team, TV show, and popular film theme music, such as the University of
Oregon Fight Song and James Bond 007.
"The food coupon offer, which is only one part of our whole Mobilestr33t
campaign, will be delivered by a proprietary mobile couponing technology,"
said David Moranville, Managing Partner of Gamut Industries. "Our mobile
coupons are the first that can be instantly redeemed without special training
or infrastructure changes at the retailer level."
Last year, consumers spent 16.2 billion dollars globally on downloadable
data services including cell phone ringtones and wallpaper. "Mobile technology
is rapidly moving from a voice-to-voice tool to an exciting new communications
system, and our young customers are clearly the quickest to adapt," said Bob
Elen, President/COO, Davis Elen Advertising in Los Angeles. "In order for
McDonald's of Oregon and SW Washington to be the first to offer these exciting
new products and services, we needed to find and partner with the most
advanced technology firm possible in the web based mobile arena. We're happy
to have found that partnership with Gamut Industries," added Elen. "This
project will turn a lot of heads."
With the January 25th launch, the public will have the opportunity to log
on to, which supports most phone service providers, to
immediately receive their free offers. See website for offer details.
