Measurement Specialties Introduces New Logo, New Website

    HAMPTON, Va., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Measurement Specialties
 Inc. announced today the company has introduced a fresh new corporate logo and
 a new website at the URL  The release was timed with
 the company's annual shareholder meeting and transition tomorrow to the Nasdaq
 Stock Market, where they will trade under the symbol Nasdaq:   MEAS.
     "We believe the new site will make us market leaders in the sensor
 industry for website functionality," said Frank Guidone, CEO of Measurement
 Specialties. "We've redesigned our website from the bottom up to improve
 navigation, readability, and most importantly, ease of finding the right
 product.  All of our e-commerce survey data suggests that's how engineers use
 the Internet and that's what they want, so we're giving it to them."

 distinctive brand with an emphasis on measurement," Guidone added.
     The heart of the new website is a new user application called
 SensorSelect(TM) which guides engineers through product selection.
 SensorSelect(TM) employs an elegantly simple and intuitive interface that
 allows users to choose their product specifications -- such as application,
 accuracy, output and range -- while the software narrows down their product
 options in real time.  Additional one-click functionality allows users to
 compare products in a chart, save the comparison in a PDF for later viewing,
 link to a product datasheet PDF, or even buy the product online.
     To date, more than 1800 pressure, position and piezo film sensor products
 are available for searching in SensorSelect(TM), with plans to add the
 vibration, humidity and load cell product lines this fall.  Of these, about
 350 products are available for sale on line, most of them inventoried in
 Hampton, VA for prompt delivery.  Hundreds more will be added for sale online
 this fall.

 home.  At the same time, we wanted to support end users who are comfortable
 buying products for personal use over the Internet.  B2B Internet buying

     In addition to the SensorSelect(TM) and buy online functions, additional
 user applications include a new search function powered by Google(TM) and a
 "find a representative" applet.  User Forums allow engineers to ask
 application and product use questions in a blog environment.  The new site
 features a clean, understated design and vastly improved navigation, making it
 user-friendly for new and repeat visitors.  The site offers a vast library of
 sensor resource materials including thousands of datasheets, instruction
 manuals, product archives, application notes and white papers on sensor
