MedAptus Names Douglas Percy President and CEO
BOSTON, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- MedAptus(R), the leading provider of
revenue enhancing charge capture solutions, today announced that Douglas
Percy has joined the company as president and chief executive officer.
Mr. Percy is a seasoned software executive that has served in a variety
of corporate leadership roles over the past 25 years. His background
includes deep knowledge of, and expertise in, the health information
technology sector. Mr. Percy previously served as president of HPR,
Incorporated. Over the course of his tenure at HPR, provider of clinical
information systems to the payer market, the company experienced
significant customer acquisition and revenue growth, as well as a highly
successful initial public offering.
"I am excited to join MedAptus at what is essentially a point of
inflection for the company. MedAptus has evolved tremendously since its
founding in the era of mobile healthcare - the company's portfolio now
includes thousands of satisfied and enthusiastic users, a robust eighth-
generation charge capture solution for physicians, and the industry's only
offering for the management of facility charges," said Douglas Percy,
president and CEO of MedAptus.
Mr. Percy most recently acted as president and chief executive officer
of Blue Agave Software. His background additionally includes executive
leadership roles at technology companies such as GEAC Computer Corporation
and Pansophic Systems.
"Welcoming a software veteran of Doug's caliber to the MedAptus team is
an enormous win. His expertise and success in leading fast-growing software
companies will only further elevate MedAptus as the premier provider of
charge capture to physicians and hospitals," stated Dennis Mitchell, vice
chairman of the board for MedAptus.
"I applaud MedAptus' management team and employees for the culture of
success they have created. I look forward to leveraging Dennis' years of
experience as MedAptus' chief executive and expect that in his role as vice
chairman he will contribute strongly around corporate strategy, business
development and customer relations," added Mr. Percy.
"Over the course of his highly successful career, Doug has repeatedly
demonstrated himself to be an effective leader of privately funded
companies experiencing growth," said Dana Callow, managing general partner
of Boston Millennia Partners and chairman of the MedAptus Board of
Directors. "To say that 2007 has been a monumental year for MedAptus would
be an understatement - there is no doubt that under Doug's direction, the
company's momentum will only accelerate in 2008 and beyond."
