Patton will host the sixty-minute documentary, which is being shot on various locations including the original headquarters site of the Desert Training Center located near Joshua Tree National Tree Park in the Palm Springs Desert area. "The Road to War" is being produced by the two companies in association with the Bureau of Land Management and will be the first film to document the history of the Desert Training Center. The training center was used by the US Army to train over ten percent of its troops during World War II. More than one million men were trained there over a two-year period and went on to fight in every theater of war during World War II.
