NEW YORK, May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Mel Liebergall has been named Executive
Vice President of News America Marketing (NAM), a subsidiary of News
Corporation (NYSE: NWS; NWS.A), and eight senior promotions were also
announced by NAM Chairman and Chief Executive Paul V. Carlucci: Nancy Perkins,
West Naze, Heidi Gray, Rob Augustinos, Gary Dortona, Karl Schmidt, Joe
Bevilacqua and Sue Reinis.
"These appointments illustrate the rich depth of executive talent within
NAM," said Mr. Carlucci. "The promotions coincide with the launch of
SmartSource iGroup, created to oversee NAM's e-commerce-targeted products, and

Mel Liebergall has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Sales for
News America Marketing. He joined NAM in 1993 as a Group Sales Manager and
most recently was Group Senior Vice President, Divisional Manager for the
Nancy Perkins has been promoted to Group Senior Vice President,
Divisional Manager for the Eastern Region. Ms. Perkins began her career at
NAM in 1984 as an Account Coordinator and most recently held the position of
Senior Vice President, Northeast Region Sales Manager.
West Naze has been promoted to Group Senior Vice President, Divisional
Manager, Western Region. Mr. Naze began his career with NAM in 1988 as an
Account Executive in Chicago. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President,
Southeast Regional Sales Manager.
Heidi Gray has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Regional Manager,
Eastern Region. Ms. Gray joined NAM in 1988 and most recently was Vice
President, Group Sales Manager in the Southeast Region.
Rob Augustinos has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Regional Manager,
Southeastern Region. Mr. Augustinos began at NAM in 1998 after eight years
with TV Guide. He most recently was Vice President, Group Sales Manager,
Gary Dortona has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Regional
Manager, Northeastern Region. Mr. Dortona began his career at NAM in 1991 and
most recently was Vice President, Group Sales Manager for the Northeast
Karl Schmidt has been promoted to Vice President, Group Sales Manager of
the Minneapolis office in the North Central Region. Mr. Schmidt joined NAM in
1998 and most recently was Group Sales Manager in the Minneapolis office.
Previously, he held a variety of positions at major consumer packaged goods
companies including Pillsbury.
Joe Bevilacqua has been promoted to Vice President, Group Sales Manager in
the Eastern Region. Mr. Bevilacqua began his career with NAM in 1993 as a
Layouts Coordinator and most recently was Group Sales Manager, Eastern Region.
Sue Reinis has been promoted to Vice President, Group Sales Manager for
the Princeton Office in the Eastern Region. Ms. Reinis joined NAM in 1995 as
Senior Account Director managing the Philadelphia and Baltimore territories
and most recently was a Group Sales Manager in the Eastern Region.
