Mercedes-Benz of San Antonio Announces 2012 U.S. Dealer Golf Championships To Tee Off Soon The Mercedes-Benz 2012 U.S. Dealer Golf Championships kick off to start back up again in March 2012
SAN ANTONIO, March 29, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Mercedes-Benz of San Antonio, a San Antonio Mercedes-Benz dealer, is happy to announce that the Mercedes-Benz 2012 U.S. Dealer Golf Championships is slated to kick off soon marking its nineteenth year running.
For those unfamiliar with the tour it simply is a national, amateur-only, golf program for both men and women. Every year, Mercedes-Benz dealers across the nation host tournaments in their community, for anyone to join, with the proceeds from the entry fees being donated to local charities.
Looking deeper at last season alone, the Mercedes-Benz 2011 U.S. Dealer Golf Championships had a total of 73 different golf tournaments which consisted of more than 5,000 total entrants. Those 5,000 entrants helped raise $1.7 million dollars for local charities. Looking back over the nineteen year run of the event, Mercedes-Benz has raised more than $17 million dollars for charity.
Outside of the U.S. Dealer Golf events, Mercedes-Benz has a large presence within the professional golf realm. Mercedes-Benz is an international partner for the Masters and is the official patron and vehicle for the PGA of America which supports a multitude of events throughout the PGA season.
