NEW YORK, Nov. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Twinkling lights! Family and friends! Music and fun! The wondrous world of Mibblio, a creative studio that makes interactive music apps designed for kids, is bringing good tidings this holiday season with the launch of two brand new apps for Christmas and Hanukkah.
Bringing the Christmas spirit to life is "Santa's Merry Band," which includes a festive collection of "mibblets" (music storybooks) featuring special guests KT Tunstall, Guster, Indigo Girls, The Brian Setzer Orchestra, G. Love, Emmy The Great & Tim Wheeler, and Dan Hicks. "Santa's Merry Band" launched today for iPad and is available for $4.99, letting users jam out while reading along to beautifully illustrated holiday hits – and future favorites – such as "Santa's Workshop," "I Feel the Christmas Spirit," "Christmas Baby" and more.
The acclaimed creator of storybook apps also collaborated with beloved reggae musician Matisyahu for a special Hanukkah app, "Matisyahu's 'Happy Hanukkah' Jam-Along." Known for blending traditional Jewish themes with reggae and hip-hop beats, Matisyahu returned to the children's world with his first-ever app, available on iPad for $2.99.
"Christmas and Hanukkah are occasions for families to spend time together and create new memories, and we chose music and artists that represent that ideal," said Sammy Rubin, co-founder and creative director, Mibblio. "It's our goal to give families fun ways to engage in music, and we're proud to offer these special experiences for iPad for the holidays."
Mibblio properties combine enchanting illustrations from talented artists all over the world with whimsical musical stories for families to enjoy by allowing them to actively join in on the musical composition process. Users can play along on percussion, strings and piano instruments, while reading along with the accompanying story.

Mibblio is a creative studio that makes interactive music apps designed for kids. Featuring Grammy winners and other notable artists, Mibblio's "mibblets" combine stories and music to form apps loaded with musical features that enable kids to read along, sing along, and jam along.
Cousins Sammy Rubin and David Leiberman founded Mibblio in 2012. As a composer and music producer, Sammy wanted to create a new type of musical story experience for kids that combined illustrated stories with the music-making elements that he used on a daily basis. David left the world of consulting to design and teach innovative curriculum to high school students and joined Sammy on his venture to create a fun, musically enriching and educational new technology. David's background in education as well as his passion for music made for the perfect partnership, and thus, Mibblio was born.
