Minister of Health Offers Condolences on Passing of John Plater
OTTAWA, July 30, 2012 /CNW/ - The Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of Health, today issued the following statement:
I was saddened to learn of the passing of John Plater .
John served as the co-chair of the Ministerial Advisory Council on the Federal Initiative to Address HIV/AIDS in Canada, and was a tireless representative of people living with HIV, AIDS and hepatitis C from across Canada and around the world.
John dedicated his time and energy in the service of others. He will be missed, and will be an inspiration to many for years to come.
I wish to extend my deepest condolences to John's wife Karen, and their entire family.
