The hospitals and BCBSAZ recently signed a three-year commitment that ensures members have a reputable local choice for their healthcare needs. Routinely, BCBSAZ works closely with physicians, hospitals and other health care providers to negotiate terms and reach reasonable reimbursement agreements.

"It is important that BCBSAZ members have access to providers who offer a range of healthcare services and focus on delivering great care while managing the cost of care - and this three year commitment with Northwest and Oro Valley ensures they do," said Marcus Montoya, vice president of network management for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona.

"This agreement is the result of our organizations working together toward the same goal – providing affordable, quality care to our community," said Kevin Stockton, chief executive officer of Northwest Medical Center.
