Music Publishing Community Raises More Than $150,000 for City of Hope at 'Songs of Hope III,' Hosted by Lionel Richie

    LOS ANGELES, May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Songs of Hope III charity event,
 hosted at the private home of Lionel Richie, five-time GRAMMY Award(R)-winner
 and one of music's most successful artists/producers/songwriters, was a
 must-attend party on May 19.  The event brought together more than 330 music
 industry professionals and raised more than $150,000 to fund City of Hope's
 groundbreaking research, treatment and education programs that help people in
 communities worldwide battling cancer, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening
     At the exclusive cocktail party/silent auction of autographed sheet music,
 film scores and original lyrics, guests were treated to a surprise performance
 by legendary entertainer Lionel Richie as well as several tunes from
 multi-platinum singer/songwriter and producer Brian McKnight.  The artists
 sang to a standing-room-only crowd at the host's Beverly Hills home.
     "We are extremely grateful to Lionel, Brian and our friends in the music
 publishing/songwriter and artist community for helping to make this event such
