Music to Raise Hope

WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Keep an eye out for the upcoming compilation album, "Raise Hope for Congo," a Downtown/Mercer Street Records release to benefit the Enough Project. The album, slated for release in early 2010, is scheduled to include international recording artists Norah Jones and Mos Def, among many others, and will support efforts to end violence against women and girls in Congo.

This coming Sunday, November 29, CBS' 60 Minutes will turn its attention to the scourge of conflict minerals in Congo. Earlier this year, Enough's co-founder, John Prendergast, accompanied the 60 Minutes team to eastern Congo to investigate the impact that the minerals trade, and particularly gold, has on the conflict.

"Raise Hope for Congo" is a collaboration of Downtown/Mercer Street Records and Unison Agency to benefit the Enough Project.
