    WASHINGTON, April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- MWW Group (www.mww.com), one of
 the nation's top ten public relations firms, announced today the
 appointment of Neil Dhillon as senior vice president in its Washington,
 D.C. office. Dhillon brings more than two decades of national and
 international public affairs experience, including senior management roles
 at Financial Dynamics and Hill & Knowlton. Earlier in his career, he served
 as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Government Affairs at the U.S. Department
 of Transportation in the Clinton Administration, Chief of Staff for Rep.
 Bob Matsui (D-CA), and Legislative Director and Press Secretary for Rep.
 Beverly Byron (D-MD).
     At MWW Group, he joins the management team, where he will lead public
 affairs, issues management, crisis communications and media relations
 practices in the firms Washington, D.C. office. Neil will also play a
 senior role in lobbying and regulatory affairs for the firm's diverse range
 of clients.

     Prior to joining MWW Group, Dhillon served as national director-public
 affairs/senior vice president at Financial Dynamics Business
 Communications, where he established the firm's first-ever public affairs
 practice. He provided strategic communications and legislative solutions to
 the firm's array of clients. He also worked closely with Bush
 Administration officials and members of Congress, from both sides of the
 aisle, to advance client policy/legislative issues.
     Dhillon also served as director of public affairs and senior vice
 president at Hill & Knowlton International Public Relations where he helped
 lead an award-winning public affairs practice in the firm's Washington,
 D.C. office. He managed public affairs and crisis communications for
 Fortune 500 companies in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Africa. He led the
 firm's international presence in India and Africa by representing several
 corporations and Embassies. He was also part of the senior management team
 that helped the firm achieve its recognition as "Agency of the Year" for
 six consecutive years.
     Prior to Hill & Knowlton, Dhillon was senior communications and policy
 counsel for the American Academy of Actuaries, where he directed all public
 policy initiatives and media relations on finance, pensions, health care,
 tax and trade issues. Dhillon played a key role in securing the actuarial
 profession positive media recognition during the Social Security debate.
     Previously, Dhillon was deputy assistant secretary of government
 affairs at the U.S. Department of Transportation during the Clinton
 Administration. He served as the department's chief legislative counsel
 before the U.S. Congress and reported directly to Transportation Secretary
 Federico Pena. He worked closely with Members of the House and Senate
 Transportation and Appropriations Committees and negotiated multiple policy
 directives. Dhillon played a lead role in the development of the first-ever
 Airline commission safety legislation and oversight of Amtrak and the
 Maritime Commission.
     Dhillon also served as chief of staff to U.S. Congressman Bob Matsui
 (D- CA) where he provided daily counsel on tax, trade, healthcare and
 finance issues for his post on the Ways & Means Committee. Dhillon managed
 a large congressional staff in Washington and California and successfully
 led multiple re-election wins by large margins. Dhillon also raised several
 million dollars for re-election efforts and for the Democratic National
 Party while Rep. Matsui served as Treasurer of the Democratic National
 Committee. He traveled extensively with the Clinton-Gore policy team during
 the 1992 presidential race and later served as one of the directors of the
 Presidential Inaugural Committee.
     Additionally, Dhillon acted as legislative director and speechwriter
 for Rep. Beverly Byron (D-MD). In this post, he served as her chief
 strategist before the House Armed Services Committee, where she served as
 the first woman to serve as a Chair of a Subcommittee in the Committee. He
 traveled with her to various military bases to review military personnel
 and military readiness.
     Dhillon began his career as legislative assistant under Rep. Tom Luken
 (D-OH) where he served as senior legislative aide on energy, environment,
 finance, trade, tax and defense issues. Additionally, he provided daily
 briefings to the Congressman on all House floor and committee (Energy &
 Commerce) proceedings and interacted daily with White House staff and
 agencies.
     Dhillon holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from The
 American University.
