NALEO Issues Statement on White House Comprehensive Immigration Meeting

LOS ANGELES, June 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) issued the following statement regarding yesterday's White House meeting among President Obama and congressional leaders on comprehensive immigration reform:

"We are encouraged by what we've learned about the meeting yesterday between President Obama and members of Congress about the prospects for comprehensive immigration reform.

It is important that this meeting was bipartisan. It will require the cooperation of both parties to repair our nation's broken immigration system.
