Nanophase Notes New Customer Orders

Aug 09, 2005, 01:00 ET from Nanophase Technologies Corporation

ROMEOVILLE, Ill., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nanophase Technologies
(Nasdaq: NANX), a technology leader in nanomaterials and nanoengineered
products, noted that Dr. Richard Brotzman, Nanophase's Vice President of R&D,
has been invited to present at the Particles 2005 conference August 13-16 in
San Francisco. Particles 2005 is an international conference examining the
science, technology, and business aspects of particle surface modification in
different application areas including: chemical and drug delivery, chemical
and biochemical diagnostics, and nano encapsulation for stabilization,
 modification and controlled release.
Dr. Brotzman will be discussing Nanophase's integrated platform of scaled
nanotechnologies to enable commercial applications. He plans to cover the
Company's patented, patent-pending and proprietary nanomaterial technologies
in nanoparticle manufacturing, nanoparticle surface treatments, and
nanoparticle dispersion in both aqueous and solvent formats. Nanophase
believes that providing an optimal nanomaterial solution for an application
increases the value of the Company's products and decreases the time-to-market
 for new product introductions.
Nanophase also noted that it continues to obtain new customers and receive
associated orders for its nanomaterial solutions, consistent with the
Company's business development initiatives in several markets. The Company
recently obtained an order for a filtration application and orders from two
new customers for Nanophase's line of optics polishing dispersions.
Nanophase Technologies Corporation (NANX), , is a
leader in nanomaterials technologies and provides nanoengineered solutions for
multiple industrial product applications. Using a platform of patented and
proprietary integrated nanomaterial technologies, the Company creates products
with unique performance attributes from two ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001
